277 hours to learn to think like a Chess Master?

277 hours to learn to think like a Chess Master?

How much time do you have for chess? What is the best way to study? These are questions I pose in my Video Lesson 001 on YouTube. I created this video right before I became active at chess.com. Since that time, I have nearly 500 public videos available for you to learn from. I created this program based on voluntary donations. They come in frequently, and I don't mind if you don't. I do hope you spread the word about what I offer.

Soon after becoming involved pretty much all day long at chess.com the requests for private lessons started coming in. In 10 months, until chess.com stopped keeping track March 2013, I climbed to #4 among titled players for services sold. this means I made huge gains on coaches who were active here for years. Since March 2013, my private lessons have increased dramatically. I currently carry over 30 happy and recurring students. What they all tell me is how they learn from how clearly I explain things. I was able to quit my job as a school teacher end of 2012 and become a full-time chess professional coach. (A professional background in public education has prepared me to teach chess quite well). I confidently claim I am the top selling coach on chess.com and have been for my 2.5 years here.

The basics of my video lessons program is to teach you to teach yourself to become a better chessplayer. I chronical my rise in ability over the years. I show you what worked for me, and what didn't, so you may shortcut my 9 years of rated play to become a chess master much quicker.

Anyway, back to those 277 hours. If you start immersing yourself in my videos, and there are 498 of them on YouTube, you are going to see your play improve. You may then back up study with competition. This means go to tournaments. You can get practice here, online. My Video Lesson 001 explains it all.

My video lessons group, created in April 2012 is one of the largest on chess.com Between what I and the Dan Heisman Learning Center offer, you will be in the best hands to guide your chess development. (we are both in the top 10 group size on chess.com!)
