Can it get any more simple?

This is the second game in the Magnus Carlsen series. Magnus didn't have a good opening and due to him using classic chess stratagies, it caused him to lose this game. White used the Silician Dragon to win this game.

I am confused by what everyone is talking about.  The dragon is black's choice, not white's.  Black's opening was strong although classic, it did not lose.  The only move that may be considered opening (possibly mid game) that I have a personal issue with (and it may be book) is 10....NxNd4.  I always thought black's best try is Rc8 followed by Ra5.  Classic, but it used to work, unless white moves Nb3, also classic.  They really haven't changed the rules for awhile.

The Yugoslav, white's choice. was and probably still is the great challenge to the dragon.  In the 1970s, it was thought to be unbeatable.  Fischer claimed it was self-working.  The dragon was rejuvenated in the 80s.  This game was not a Yugoslav, I was just mentioning it, as I believe it would be considered the modern response.

Jaller first u say that Magnus loses, and then in the game he wins because he is white.

So i dont know if the black - white are switched or not?

The black has to be a very good player to have all the pieces in perfect structure in Dragon Sicilian. This time Magnus Carlsen shows his skills after a weak openning. Thanx for sharing.
