Blindfold chess would be useful. Type your moves on the keyboard and see the last half-move in chess notation. No chessboard, no move history.

I've never encountered any bugs on the website. Is it only relevant when browsing on a mobile device?

It is interesting to see that different people have (radically) different priorities. I think the saner idea will be to try to make the majority happy (one cannot make everyone happy, as some may have totally opposite interests), but how the "desires" of the majority will be discovered is the question.

Me, I like bug-free website 100-times more than please-the-child features.

I don't see any current or pending improvements that look like a bad idea, even though many of them are of no interest to me (Android, Facebook, iPhone etc).

I am looking forward to playing bughouse chess when it's available.

Bughouse is becoming more and more popular. It soon will be, if not already, more popular than 960.

No bugs in my house please. I'd be much happier if all those liitle things were fixed up first, before putting resources into something which at best is only a sideline. After all, there's always 960 for those who want something other than the royal game!Smile

    Byron8,

Bughouse, also called "Siamese chess" is a variant of chess where two teams, each of two people, play eachother on two different boards side by side. They play eachother like normal (usually with a 5 min time control) except, whenever a player captures a piece, they give it to their teammate. The teammate can now, instead of moving normally, place the piece (called "dropping") anywhere on the board. Of course, there are a bunch of rules, like you can't drop-capture or drop-pawn-promote, and other things. When one person wins, their teammate does too. It's very fun, although I know of no chess websites that have it, it's usually played in clubs and tournaments. I'm very excited that they're adding it to chess.com, as I'm not very good at it, and would love to practice. Also, the live 960 will mean I won't have to go to ChessCube at all anymore, everything will be right here! Laughing

Hi, just wondering what is the affiliate system?

    Also bughouse would be great.

All great, depending on where one's interests lie. But it would be even greater if we could hear about some of the smaller things. I am one of many who have raised a variety of points in relation to the redesign, but as there's no feedback I have no idea when or whether any of them might get fixed, or instead just dispappear into that proverbial black hole. I'm not asking for individual answers here, but the occasional update re progree on some of these smaller but still important items would be a great boon.

Could someone explain what "Bughouse" is, please? Thanks in advance.

The question for 960 and bughouse is how will the ratings and statistics work. There would have to be three sets for each, for each of the defined time controls if it is set up the same as classical live chess.

At least in my circles, live bughouse is such a plus that I could get at least 10 people to join purely to play bughouse.
