whats a spec? There was no time control. They thought for as long as they wanted. I transfered the different moves back and forth, because I was running them at sepetrately

Anyone know what the time control they played with, and or what specs the computers had?

Chessmaster started out well.  Then, it seems to me, that Chessmaster just did not understand what needed to done in the middle game (I am not claiming that I know what should have been done in the middle game).

Really a pretty interesting game until chessmaster loses a piece. CM goes for good static value in his pawn structure, Fritz plays dynamic chess... and the dynamic chess wins convincingly!

20.Nxe7+ and I think chessmaster is still ok... although his Na4 would still look awfully dim. Fritz's 20...Bd6 is quite simple, but I think it seals white's fate, I don't see how white can save the N after Bd6.

In this game Fritz 8 dominated through out the game.
