This is not true
After 2. f4  g5xf4+
if 3. Kf3 or Kf2 then black can win
if 3. Kh4  g5+ not ending in stalemate

The fact of Black seeing or not is irrelevant. Whether Black move his King or Queens his Pawn, it is Stalemate regardless.

Black probably did see it, but there was nothing he could do about it. This scenario would probably never happen though. I've only forced stalemate ON PURPOSE once.

i'm not sure if this is a real game but it might be. but you're right i have no idea why black didn't see this.
