Submitted by luc_0ne on Fri, 08/22/2008 at 6:49pm.

i have lost a lot games bcs knight blind,  as it walks no linearly is very easy u don`t capt all possibilities of its attacks, my friend, i advise: look at knights all the time, ever as possible change knights by bishops. knights are falses, when u think it is far it get suddently, and as aways attacking two pieces at same time. i hate knights.

try spinning fast before playing, this way the knights path would look clearer and straighter.

I suggest you logon to one of the chess servers on-line and play a lot of K+B+N vs K endgame training sessions against the computer.  Preferably with one that tells you the number of moves to reach checkmate.  This helps to spot your errors.  Try to accomplish three basic tasks.

1. Push the King out of the center,

2. Drive the King to the side of the board towards the Bishop's opposite color corner.

3. Drive the King to the opposite corner for check mate.

This exercise is difficult but with practice is also excellent for learning how to make your pieces coordinate together and improve your chess vision with Knights.

Hint:  Try to keep your Bishop & Knight on the same color squares to form a wall to block the King.
