Move A Day - #2

1. e4 c5 2. Nf3

Best Response(s) - Many

White develops his knight and pushes onward down the 'most common' Sicilian line.  Although there is little 'theory' involved at this point, it is clear that White is comfortable with the mainline Sicilians, despite knowing that his opponent knows his openings inside and out.

In essence 2. Nf3 is exactly what any opening should involve: Speedy development and control of the center.

The real 'game' comes later.

The openings in 'move a day' series' are usually boring... gimme 3 more moves or so and we can get into theory and variations.
