on move 25, the knight fork would have worked out in favour of white and not black since the rook would have taken the one knight in the b file, then black would have to take one of the rooks with either the knight or the pawn, then white would take the other knight...

Well, then follows for example T2b3 and white has 2 knights for a rook, which I suppose is enough, given that their figures are in active positions.

I had a game once that was extremely similar to this one only I decided to keep white's pawns doubled which traps his bishops and used my knights on the king side to attack them keeping him off of important squares. Then I just attacked his king side while my bishop protected against the rooks so his only choice was to attack with the queen weakening his ranks. Eventually I was able to trade off the rooks due to pinning the bishop to the king after taking one of the pawns. I laughed as he tried to checkmate me with just his queen and a pawn on the king side.lol

I won by the way.

Could you please leave out some of the not so great comments next time? For example you say that 28... Nxd2 isn't good, because white gets piece activity then. Then, one move later, you say that now white wins a pawn and black has no compensation. If black gets a bad position anyway, he can just as well keep the pawn then...

And your comment on black's 31th move ("31... Qh4 can be met by 32. g3!") must be a joke...

 

Please, either use an engine to support your comments, or leave the annotation of such games to better players.

 

Black might have tried 37... Ra8. This would hold on to the position for much longer.
