The Power of h4- Part 2

Submitted by benws on Mon, 06/15/2009 at 6:03am.

It's been a long time since I posted my first power of h4 article, but I've finally summoned up the courage to post another one. Cool

Anyway, here it is. Polugaevsky initiates the greek gift against tal-but in an somewhat unorthodox setting. It takes a few subtle pawn moves to make the difference, and soon it is clear that white must win.

EDIT: notes have been added. if you want to see my first power of h4 article, go here: http://www.chess.com/article/view/the-power-of-h4-part-1.

"After 33... Rc7!, I don't see how White can demonstrate a significant advantage."  -- [quotes don't seem to be working at the moment]

What about 34. Re6 threatening the pawn on f6?  and threatening to invade the king.

GET THE LITTLE SHARE/ADD THIS/BOOKMARK toolbar out of the comments section!!!#$%#$&^#$&#$%^$%#*#^  I hate it when I can't even read the comments because of it!!

edit:  see move 25.  I could click on moves list, but getting rid of the share toolbar or at least moving it somewhere out of the way would probably please a lot of members.
