The Quick Pin

Submitted by chessowns on Mon, 01/05/2009 at 9:02pm.

I have playing a few games, and I have discovered a quick pin. It does have its flaws, however I will post it for now as the unfinished version. The pin is quite an enjoyable one; keeping a knight from fear of the death of the queen. I got this move from the Legall's mate, although it is a nice move to use when you aren't in a situation such as the Legall's mate. Give me comments and/or feedback, please.

Yes, ReinH is right.  White is perfectly fine here and even with the advantage.  I really can't add much because he covered it all lol.

You give white's moves as Nc6 and Nf6 and your own as c4, which is obviously wrong. For that matter, it is also impossible for it to be white's move in this position as white has made five moves to black's four.

Let's take the position where white hasn't castled yet and it is white's move. White should not castle but rather play 5. d4, when you have nothing better than trading off your bishop with 5... Bxf6 to remove a defender of d4, giving yourself a light square weakness and white the bishop pair.

White has a lead in development, a better position and a lasting advantage. I would be quite happy to take the position as white.
