Cold-Blooded Love

Mathew 24:11-13 / "11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved."

There are definitely false prophets in the land. Hang tight - your salvation is closer now than when we first believed!

Can i open a Forum on the Matter ? the matter of Jesus himself saying the time is soon, and yet 2000 years have passed. i think it will be a healthy discussion...

I have not defended Obama that I know of,...so far, i've only tried to bring a little truth to some of your "far out" ideas...there was no defense of Obama intended.

And, I have not attacked Romney, either...we haven't even begun to talk about Romney...so, there is no need to over interpret meanings here...

I have no particular feelings about your "Word",...it has nothing to do with anything. Kiss

Again...so far, i have attempted to get you closer to the real truth regarding politics, and how it works, who's more important to your interests etc., and so far you haven't understood that...Cry

Doug,...I can tell you very specifically why Dem's were against the "keystone pipeline project"...if you like!  Smile

suggestion: if you have no proof, or any evidence for what you're about to say...don't say it.

Bullet, there may be some confusion here in this discussion.  To the disciples of old, the death would be referring to seperation from God.  I am however speaking of the rapture, when the believers who have prepared themselves will be caught away.

The disciples of old have all died in the flesh.  Often, Jesus was not speaking literally.  This should be counter-balanced with Hebrews 9:27 - "And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:"  All of the disciples of old physically died.  However, spiritually they lived.

I think I see what you mean about the metaphor...that is not metaphorically that I am using it however.  If you look at the "kingdom of God" within us, it is nothing that we can do of ourselves.  And not everyone has the "kingdom of God" within them.  That refers to a kingship, and a rulership, so therefore there must be a ruler.  That ruler is Christ, and the means by which He rules and reigns upon the heart of the believer is through the Holy Ghost.  There is also the Word of God, that rules and reigns in our heart.  It is not a literal city, in terms of buildings and bricks, but a kingdom of love.  The bricks of the city are built upon the foundation of Christ, and further by the works of the saints (those who did works in the Spirit, and not in the flesh).

So, it is not metaphoric to me - I literally believe that Jesus comes to rule and reign in your heart, if you submit yourself over to Him.  He sends His Holy Spirit, and His Word, to help lead you and guide you.  The disciples always had the Word of God, but never had the infilling of the Holy Spirit.

John the Baptist preached in Matthew 3:1-2 / In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea,

And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.  Jesus was that King.

I Love you Bird Brain,,, but i don't like the way that you downgrade Jesus's words to a Metaphoric approach... when he said to his disciples, that some of them would not taste death until the kingdom of god returns, he was not speaking Metaphoric, nor in Parables. he  meant it.. Translators have translated it diligently, and no metaphors should be applied...

Jesus said that no man should try to add, or take away,  and to downplay his words as Metaphoric. it should be taken "LITERALL'...

Bullet, the kingdom is within you - Jesus was referencing the Holy Spirit working in our heart to grow our nature into His nature.  But there will be a rapture.  It cannot happen until the Anti-Christ reveals himself.  Paul teaches this in 2 Thessalonians 2:3-5:

    "Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?"

First, there must be a falling away.  This is according to the Spirit, written by the hand of Paul, and we are definitely seeing a falling away.  People are defecting from the message of truth into a watered-down, seeker friendly gospel.  They have becomes Sauls in this day and age.  Saul told Samuel that he feared what the people thought, and therefore he created his own form of righteousness, which cost him dearly.

Even so it is today - people are falling away, and why?  They are not rooted and grounded in Christ - they are either worshipping a preacher, or they are following a friend, etc.  But their hearts are not truly submitted to the LORD.  God is wanting honesty and integrity, and truthfully Bullet, there will come a day when the believers who have prepared themselves will be raptured.  The ones who fell asleep and didn't keep their lamps burning (no oil, or anointing) will miss out and have to endure the Tribulation.

God is calling His saints to a new walk of Holiness.  The call is this - "...Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues." (Revelation 18:4) and also this - "...Even so, come, Lord Jesus." (Revelation 22:20).  There will be those who deny Christ now, but when the rapture comes, they will awake and choose Him, not fearing the death they will receive at the hand of the Anti-Christ.  They will realize the true rewards in heaven cannot compare with the earthly glory.

Thanks Bird Brain,, and as far as the Kingdom Coming, and over 2000 years have passed, Well, I look at it this way: If One Takes Jesus Christ as Personal Saviour, and applies oneself, He will Find in the Long run, that the Kingdom of God Is Within Themselves. no need to be Captured By The Rapture.

Bullet, I am strongly in disagreeance with Obama, but Denis is strongly for Obama.  However, he is welcome to that opinion, and I don't criticize his criticisms of Romney (I am not even a huge Romney supporter when it comes down to it).  But one of my biggest disagreements with Obama revolves around his profession of being a Christian, while denigrating the Bible and simultaneously praising the Koran.  This is just one of my issues with him.  However, these are my (and many others) beliefs concerning Obama.

Denis is a friend of mine, but he is a staunch supporter of Obama.  He is welcome to his beliefs, just as I am to mine.  But he does not believe in the Word of God, and he has a problem with criticism of Obama.

You are right in one regard, Denis.  I am not as patient as I should be.  But I will still tell you this.  A lie is a lie, and a spade is a spade, and I am gonna call the cards as they lie.  That doesn't mean I don't love people, but I find it amazing that a peaceful atheist tries to take up beef with a Christian for making a stand for what he believes in.  Especially a patriotic, peaceful atheist at that.

But simply being kind is not enough to be saved.  The Bible confesses that EVERY ONE of us are wicked within.  Our hearts are filled with lust and blasphemy, pride and rebellion, murder and witchcraft, and we try to smooth that over, or make it out to be much less than it truly is.  In truth, we are wicked people in need of help.  That is where Jesus comes in to place - not only to provide salvation via the atonement He provided on the cross, but also to help lead us in righteousness.  Unless Jesus opens your eyes to truth, you cannot see, and you will accuse Him (and those who profess Him in truth) to be wrong.  But as bullet says, we will pray for God to truly open your eyes.  It is totally in His hands - all I can do is be a witness to the truth, which is Christ.

John 14:6 - "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

Denis, if you have a problem with the Word, that is on you.  It is coming to pass right before your eyes, and you are too blind to see it.  Sorry for you Denis, but you are embracing a lie and rejecting the truth.

You have embraced one of the most deceptive men on the planet as your hero.

11, "many false prophets shall rise..." ...and then we all have to put our own imagery of who we think this describes...let me just guess who this describes for you...out of the sevem billion people on earth, you pick Mr. Obama. Right on, right? I think religions have an overwhelming lead in having deceptive prophets...no contest...

12, i can see a lot of very, very poor folks out there loosing their love of "austerity" as they wax mighty cold next Winter if the nutty "far right" get any more power.

13, endure what?  (this is where i make up some evil conspiricy thing?)

there is nothing new about preaching "the end times"...in fact it sounds the same as it did 45+ year ago when i first listened to it...what's it been now, 2000 years? nothing yet...the Kentuckey "Shakers" thought so to...but, nothing...nothing...and more nothing...you'd think people would catch on after a while, wooden yew?
