How to Solve a Chess Puzzle #2

I share my thoughts on how to solve a random chess puzzle. This was done while livestreaming at www.twitch.tv/ChessNetwork, and it contains some interaction with those in the live chat.

Managed to figure this one out before hearing the solution *pats-self-on-back*.  White can stall mate of course by throwing the queen at black with Qxg7+ Kxg7 Bc3+ and after the black king moves anywhere white is out of stalling moves.

Thank you for reminding me that chess puzzles are meant to be thought through carefully, while examining different lines and variations. Too often, I find myself "racing the clock" trying to get the best possible rating in each puzzle.

What a great resource to hear this quality of strategic thinking done aloud whilst I watch in the comfort of my own environment. Wonderful stuff! Wink

Always a useful exercise to think out loud.
