My Best Game Today (Schliemann Gambit)

The game was in 23|5 time control and my opponent was a decent player. I wanted to play the Ruy Exchange but my opponent decided to use the shocker 3...f5!?

    Yes, QG is obviously the most solid one but it is hard to even call it a gambit.

    Benko/Evans/Schliemann/Marshall are some of the most sound gambits I can think of now.

    23|5 - that's almost the similar time control I used some months ago with friend! Laughing

    "One of the most respected/sound gambits in chess." - Really? Didn't know. I expected Evans or Queen's one. Interesting.

    I prefer 4.Nc3, but seems that 4.d3 brings "easier" game. Good game though. Wink
