OTB - Sicilian Def: Pin Variation

I had a decent tournament this weekend, I scored 5/7 in a strong tournament with many 1800+ players. I started at 21st place. The first two rounds were against pretty weak players and I won both, 3rd round was a frustrating game against a 1850 rated opponent. I just couldn't generate good plans and ended up in a lost endgame because of my wrecked pawn structure. I was white.

I won 4th game rather easily and after 4 rounds first day was complete, I came home and analyzed the won games briefly and the lost game for like 30 minutes.

5th round was against a 1950 rated opponent and I was playing with white pieces again, and when he played these first moves, I was ready this time.

My other loss was in 6th round because I missed the defence to a tactic. It wasn't easy to spot and I didn't want to get into time trouble so I gave up the exchange. My opponent managed to get the win from there. I may post the game later.

I don't have a FIDE rating yet, national tournament results usually aren't sent to FIDE. I expect it to be around 1750-1800 when I get it.

Tournament was in 45|30 time control. We don't have such long time controls unless there is like a big prize and/or there are many expert players. And those are the tournaments you can get your FIDE rating. (They happen in my city like 2 times a year and I missed most of them)

    Thanks for the comment :)

    What's your fide rating?

Was this tournament a 90|30 one?
