Thanks Chris. :)
Wondeful game, as always John! Thanks for all your thoughtful and hilarious commentary. Like Metaknight, Kh2 was an lololol moment. Your 16. Rxd5 was awesome, and I love anytime somebody can activate the octopus-knight-of-doom!!!
GB I'll ask Kohai about your suggestion which I would also like to see implemented. Not being a programmer I have no idea if it's easy or not to implement but IMHO the best way to get any suggestion going here is to have as many peeps as possible request something, so you should also input your suggestion as well.
In the meantime I use ChessBase or Fritz to look over annotated games from here, the GUI in those programs is far superior for sorting out variations, sub-variations, variants etc etc.
Nice game. I lol'd really hard after Kh2.
I'd like to see a larger annotation pane too. It seems is could be easily accomplished. I'll make a suggestion, though I doubt it will have any priority.
Thanks, batgirl and Roy. Btw, it would be nice if there was a way to make the annotation window larger. Any chance you two blogging luminaries might chime in with a suggestion to chess.com to that effect? :)
I imagine you have all the opening books & DBs you need at home but if you want anything on this line from MCO-15, BCO-2, ECO-2 (sigh), Understanding the FD (1976) or CB BIG DB 2011 (fully updated to right now) gimme a holler.
Great game! Even the endgame was nice considering the time element. Thanks, too, for the annotation.
I really had no business playing this line of the French, as I knew almost zero theory and spent roughly an entire hour staring in abject confusion at the position after 7...a6.
First! And thanks for posting, this game is of interest to me because I've been playing 3...de4 which is similar - or identical via transposition in some cases.
