In case you have not seen the previous episodes yet, this was a project that I was involved with back in January 2011. Let me know what you think. Keep in mind that the target audience for this production was not intermediate or advanced chess players. Rather, it was for the general public, either those who have never played chess before or those who are beginners. It is always extremely challenging to find a healthy balance between chess exposure and not being too cheesy, so if you watch this with an open mind, I hope you will understand its purpose. At the conclusion of this project, with the final episode probably being released in about a month or two, I will be returning here to the forums and will write up an opinionated post regarding the current state of chess, media exposure, and the "double standard" challenge. I will probably be writing about the Extreme Chess Championships as a whole along with Magnus Carlsen's 60 Minutes Episode, a piece which I personally believe deserves a lot of credit rather than the criticism it has received from a significant portion of the chess community.
As for me, I know it has been awhile since I have last hosted my "Your Games Analyzed" show on chess.com/tv and last produced an instructional video lesson for all of you. Hopefully, as my class schedule gets easier in the next month, I will be able to come back soon and return to my usual contributions. Hope you are all doing great, and look forward to returning to my chess.com duties shortly. Best regards,
