A new book is born!

Hello everyone!

I am happy to announce that my first book is printed. There I offer a complete opening repertoire against 1.d4 based on the Benko gambit. I tried to analyze all White's major possibilities including 2.Nc3 or Zukertort sytem. You can find more information about it here: http://www.gambitbooks.com/books/attackwblack.html

If you want to buy it, you can find it in practically all biggest online-shops.

Hopefully, you will like results of my work.

If you have any questions or offers, please write directly to my email (vdaveskulov@gmail.com) or just leave a comment here.

Sincerely, GM Valeriy Aveskulov.

take on d4, Qxp - Nc6, then I would prefer fianchetto on g7 + d7d6, Nf6. Looks like an accelerated dragon (if White plays e2e4) or english symmetrical (if he does not), but with N on f3.

Hi, I've found your book to provide a good repertoire based on Benko and Blumenfeld. Just being curious, sometimes (usually bullet or blitz) white plays 1. d4 Nf6 2. c4 c5 3. Nc3?!. What do you recommend for black set-up? I guess ...cxd4 looks logical and black develops with tempo as white must take on d4 with the queen, but after that I'm not sure what would be the optimal arrangement of the pieces?

What do you think of Kaufmanns move 12 a4 in the Benko Accepted king walk variation? Is it right to view this line as so good as to give white advantage but probably a draw for black with best play? It seems the counterplay in that specific variation is a bit limited?

I mean that there are kindle versions for books these days for people who can read on pc, tablet, mobiles, ibooks etc... and usually amazon offers a kindle version of the book or paperbook/hardcover. The kindle version is the ebook that works only on kindle and cant be copied or pirated. This might make it easier for many.

My copy just arrived today, just skimmed it through, it looks very promising. As a Benko player I always have had a dislike for those 1. d4 Nf6 2. "anything but c4"-players. With your recommended repertoire (I've always loved gambits!) I'm ready to fight! My sincere thanks for sharing your knowledge!

    Hello, Valery!

I have been working with your book for 14 days now (I have a full-time job, so I am a bit slow :-) ) and I must say that it has been a wonderfull read so far. I am very impressed by the number of new moves you suggests and the verbal explanations are instructive too.

I have a few books on the subject and in my humble opinion your book must now be considered to be the standard work. It is that good! For an amateur like me your main lines are more easy to follow, eg. 1 d4 Nf5 2 Nf3 c5 3 d5 and now e6 instead of 3..b5 as in some other books.

I am looking forward to your future books!

    Sincerely, Thomas Mørkøre, Copenhagen.

I note only 88 pages on theory of the Benko it'self.  I do not mention this to be critical, as quality ( no pun intended ) would lend it'self more to being concise.  Could I ask if you ever entertained the idea of an anti rep chaptor?  I find regarding openings that I just get up to three ' solutions ' by opponents, all depending on what Watson,Marin etc give.  To clarify.  I know that playing the Benko It could be years before I face anything other than Qc2, the Fianchetto, or Kuafman's Nb5 lines.  Thanks.

Well, I tried to make it useful for both amateurs and professionals. I put there a lot of word explanations and even some exercises for club players.

Is it suitable for the club player or it focuses too much on analyses? Good luck with the book in any case Wink
