Objectives in the opening

Here is an example game to illustrate my point, though I made several mistakes my opponent failed to activate his pieces and lost in 23 moves. Looking over some of his games he isn't a bad player at all just forgot this maxim of chess;

Get your army out as quickly as possible!

    Yes 7 Nxe5 wins the pawn and probably the game quicker, but after 6 ... Nce7 I switched off and just wanted to get all the pieces out

    Very nice example, it helps anovice like me. It drives home the point of developing early. As well as planning and attacking instead of constantly reacting/defending.
