Teaching

Is there anyone who could offer advice on how to teach a eight year who really wants to get better at chess? The only thing I have found is the Daily Puzzle on the Chess.com homepage I have tried books before but they were a little hard to explain between 5 and 9 in the morning. I say this again help is appreciated!

like I said before most people want to play checkers because "it's easy" and won't play chess because "it's hard".

chess culture is not only histiry. chess itself is culture

Chess culture is made up of history, and it's very narrow with a few highpoints and nowhere near very interesting once you leave the early stages of it.
