Playing chess reminds me of creatures crossing the road at night, sometimes you are the truck next time you're the road kill.  Always thank the one you are playing for the gift of their time, maybe next time you switched places.

Now think about chess, each piece is moving along the roads on the chess board and smash, road kill, check mate is the ultimate road kill.

  Pawns are the insects, the higher pieces for example: frogs are knights, birds are bishops, rooks are dogs, queen is the deer or similar, guess what you get to be the king.
