Trading in open position...
Ronliv
Be careful when the position is open to place your pieces where it is more advantageous to you...in open position keep pawns stationary as you improve your position...when your pieces are well placed look for a tactical shot that will gain you space and even material...it may involve a temporary sacrifice.
also don't block your bishop with your pawn effectively making it a big pawn...keep the lines open for all your pieces...don't trade a good piece for your opponent's inferior piece...
