Blind

I liked bjazz's blog about Ray Charles, so I converted my travel board to blind-compatible. Who knows, I might be playing _you_ blind right now! ;)

I live alone, keep knocking the pieces over, have to peek to set things right. My little blind-board is nice, good innovation within my budget, useful as long as somebody "sighted" is there to pick-up when things are disturbed, but it would be a really cool board if the pieces were made to snap-in-place, or in some other way be easily placed securely.

Pawns: about 40% of head width filed, vertical flat spot

    Knights: crew-cut

    Bishops: diagonal, enhancement of stereotype

Rooks: 25% of head width filed, vertical flat spot

    King: Pointy head!

Queen: (light Queen gratuitously chimes in: "Love the Butch Haircut, Lumberjack-Lips! ... Dark Queen was _no way_ gonna leave that one alone, so she said, "Is that peppermint lipstick I smell? My fave! Suicide pact @c5, candycane?

How did you decide to mark the black pieces? I hope you can find some blind opponents to make some use of the board.  :)

Filed dark pieces, glued bits of green sock to dark spaces
