Live Lesson: Evaluation and Planning

Hi everyone! In today’s post, I would like to share with you a very instructive fragment of a lesson I had with one of my students back in 2012. His level was approximately 2000 USCF (Expert). The topics we covered are positional evaluation and how it can affect our plan successfully.

If you want to follow the analysis attentively you should maximize the broadcast window: Click on the YouTube icon or "Full screen" on the bottom right.

I hope you enjoyed the video and if you are interested in receiving some personalized training and chess lessons, you can visit http://www.tigerlilov.com/coaching and learn more about my teaching methods and customized training programs I prepare for each of my students.

A good book which discusses this well is Snosko-Borowski's The Middle-Game in Chess. He discusses static evaluation as well as finding a dynamic plan. He also has many terrific games/positions to demonstrate.
