Bishop vs. Knight Rap

Bridge

A: It's a swift jumper.

B: Like a pro sniper.

A: A centuries-old conflict.

Both: No fight gets bigger.

B: You can make a battery.

A: Or play tactically.

You can play positionally

B: Or passively.

A: It's a swift jumper.

B: Like a pro sniper.

A: A centuries-old conflict.

Both: No fight gets bigger.

B: You can attack from a distance.

A: Or try some close combat.

B: You can use it as a gat.

A: But who would do that?

Chorus:

The bishop versus knight, who will win triumphantly?

The knight versus bishop, who will take the victory?

It's the battle of the century, which will be valedictory?

The bishop versus knight, the biggest fight in history!

Verse 1:

A: Accompanied by the queen, I attack from two sides.

In a matter of time, destruction will betide.

Your king has one moves left; nowhere to run.

My rooks are also coming, not to be outdone.

B: But you didn't see this move, so watch the bishop fly!

This proves that long range, to your knight, does not apply!

I have taken your knight, with one more to go.

The bishop is the ultimate minor virtuoso!

Verse 2:

A: You think that just because your bishops have long range,

that the results of this game will definitely change.

Check! With a fork! Will tear your plans asunder!

Might as well give up now and/or surrender!

B: You think a mere check will fall my big chance.

I move away my king, making your queen dance.

A discovered attack is what I have done.

Save the knight or the queen - you can only choose one!

Bridge - Chorus

Verse 3:

A: My plan is now falling into place, just you wait,

Now that your king has taken the bait.

I check with the queen, with a rook on the way.

You have done enough to me, so now you will pay!

Moving your king there is of no help.

You should just surrender, to save yourself

From the bloodshed that will befall upon the board.

Your pieces are scattered, arranged in no accord.

Verse 4:

B: But the two knight whom you have held so dear

Is of course now long gone, as it would appear.

On the other hand, I've preserved my specialty.

With your position, I can exploit flawlessly.

First, I check, with an attack on your rook.

The signiture fork, the olderst trick in the book.

You have no choice but to move your king,

Then I will slaughter your men, like the Vimy Ridge killing!

Verse 5:

A: Well, this is turning out to be quite interesting.

I shall go all out and do some slaughtering.

Taking my rook however will do no damage

Because my last rook is coming. Pawnage!

I shall move my pawn, so now it's one square away.

From being a new queen, or a knight, if you may.

Accompanied with my first queen, I advance on your king.

Isn't this battle very much to your liking?

Verse 6:

Have you forgotten? I am the master

Of exploiting diagonals three moves or faster.

I capture your pawn, safe by my queen.

I attack your rook, wiping the board clean

Of all your pieces, kings, and pawns.

Still want to fight back> Then bring it on!

You only have a queen, a bishop, five infantry.

All encroachments are impossible, you see.

Verse 7:

A: You may have won the battle, but now the war.

A queen and bishop is enough for me, and furthermore,

I'll prove to you that your efforts are in vain,

When I go all out, violent and insane.

B: Your charging of pawns will do you no good

Because since they are going as fast as they could

Whilst my bishops are seven times that!

Yours are too far away to challenge me in combat.

Verse 8:

A: Since my pieces are in range of your king,

I shall smite it instantly, and stop it from breathing.

I check you once with the bishop far away.

Then I check you close up with the queen, I say.

B: After that nonsense, I shall take a stand

And attack your castle now reduced to sand.

Your walls are gone, and you are next.

I'll make sure that you get annexed!

And now, here it is, my finishing blow! How doyou want you death: fast or slow?

Anyway, you're dead, in one more turn.

This will be instructive, so watch and learn!

CHECKMATE!!!!

A: Oh no, I have lost! to your awesome attack!

I'll admit that the bishop overpowers knight on horseback!

But you think you think you have won! You think you have the knack!

But I will assure that I'LL BE BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bridge - Chorus

Bridge-Verse 1 Overlap

Both: word.
