Music To Play Chess By, A

Some of us, when we play chess, like to relax with some nice soft music to stimulate and inspire the mind.  Thank you Bambi, for suggesting sharing with the group our favorite songs.  Yours are great, but, alas, I need to go my own way.  So, without further ado, here is installment #1, my A list:

For me most inspiring and stimulating music for chess is Tango Buenos Aires :)

AC/DC ...  Highway to Hell is better ... Hell's Bells is a close second (my nickname by the way) :))

This is quite a 70's/80's collection... I was only 10 in 88'.  That and I was growing up in a  little rural English village.  I didn't get much exposure to anything other than my parent's 60's tastes before I was 11 and went to senior school.  Then I discovered Gun's and Roses!!  Mmmm Axel Rose...

But like you said... better late than never.

But Kate, better to join the party late than never!  So did you listen to any of the songs you did not yet know?  Certainly worth doing so, at least in my humble opinion!  Any by the way, though Aerosmith is quite popular, the song of theirs I chose is not.  Many Aerosmith fans do not know "Lightning Strikes", but one listen and you may agree that it is their best song, in fact by quite some margin!

I feel so ignorant... apart form Aerosmith and AC/DC I haven't heard of any of these bands.  So now as well as being a complete novice at Chess, my musical education seems to be lacking.  Let's hope the B list proves that I'm not a completely lost cause. Embarassed

No, not all of them.  But I have a soft spot for AC/DC and I was chanting, "Anti-Social" with Anthrax back in the day.

I like to be both!  So you already knew all of these songs?

I like quite a few on your list, Vance.  I love being inspirational, it is so much better than irrational.  : )

I like this rocker side of you...
