Warning: long post with multiple games

So over the Easter weekend I played in the West of England Championships and (incredibly) managed to finish =1st with a tpr of 2370 (i'm converting all ECF grades into elo ratings here). This warranted a posting of my games, i think.

Round 1:

Round 2:

Round 3:
This was the only game from the tournament that I wasn't entirely happy with.

Round 4:
My opponent this round was the second seed in the tournament and before this game I had only scored a single draw from 6 games.

Round 5:

Round 6:

Round 7:
At this point I was lying =1st on 4.5/6 with one round to spare. There were two others on 4.5, and I was playing one of them in the final round. My 1st and 4th opponents were both on 4.

So there you have it. One very good tournament, a ton of rating points, a qualification to the British Championships (I think) and a nice amount of money.

Not bad at all, even if lacking in speculative sacrifices.

It is never too late! If you can miraculously carry this form onto the new season, that'll be great too!

We've only got a couple of games left, so it's a little bit late for that now.

Well done, well played! I think you were fortunate to get away with the draw in the third round! Otherwise, the rest of the games were nicely done. I wasn't a fan at some of the moves of your first round opponent... not sure how you could have improved on it though...

So, are you going to carry this form into the league? Tongue Out

i haven't computer-analysed the games yet, so I'm sure there are plenty of errors in there that I just don't know about.

Epic games, you made like no mistakes the whole tournament lol. 2370 performance is insane!
