My Local Games! Part - 2 Inter-school chess competition Daman!

Hey Guys, It's been a while i have taken up writing a blog but i can assure you this blog will be much more fun than the previous one!

Lets start with some talk about one of my peculiar friend, Shriom! (Rtg - 1245) We two are the only rateds here in Daman and fortunately i got the honour to be the 1st rated ever in Daman! Cool

Shriom is very childish, immature and very naughty. At first, he would look like as if he's the most innocent man in the world but if you stay long (I mean very long) you will start to dislike him (Saying this from my experience Innocent) He doesn't know where to say and where to keep his mouth shut. Ok, Enough of this.... Lets see some pics of him and me together!

We both have played nearly 100 games in total and all games were win by me. This led to a smoke of overconfidence in me when i faced him again. July 5! A day i would never forget, a very tragic incident happened to me and i thank god to give this so early in life so that i don't repeat that same mistake twice.

It all happened on July 5 when the first biggest tournament held here and there were 148 total participants. Top seed was ofcourse me but underdogs can be terrible!!

It was the semis when pairings were out and i showed me and shriom as opponents. This led to a huge bonfire of overconfidence in me and the result was unexpected! Everyone in the hall were Shocked to hear this.

                                     I LOST!

See this position! I don't remember the game, i can only remember this position!

You can very well see how poor he was.

Time passed and i accepted my mistake and i was fortunate that it happened so early in my life.

Then, it was announced that for nationals selection will be held in Daman and i came 1st in our school for U - 17 category!

The Big Test: Fortunately shriom also came 1st in U-17 category in his school and on 22 August, 2014 the interschool U - 17 tournament selection for national were held. The results were:

1st. Gourav Barik!!!                                                                        2nd. Shriom Revankar???

Yeah, you saw it right. We two met in finals and i took my revenge on him beating him badly. So this announces the beginning of the games section of my interschool competition!

Game 1. Sai Patel VS Gourav Barik 0-1

That was easy but things got heated up now!

Game 2. Kalpesh Patel VS Gourav Barik 0-1

Game 3. Semi Finals! Divyesh Rohit VS Gourav Barik 0-1

Now, the revenge was at Stakes! Shriom VS Gourav!!! The most awaited match that morning.... Everyone gathered around our match. Despite of my previous loss against him, there was large number of people cheering him but i didn't care about that. All i wanted was to crush him badly!!

FINAL! Shriom Revankar VS Gourav Barik

That was the most fantastic moment.... All applauding and clapping!

He was crying at that moment and without a word, he left the playing area. That was Great!

That was all for this blog. Please do share your thoughts and opinions!

Stay tuned......
