@TOKYOISAWESOME99 I was in check when he did 16. Nxd5 Nxf3+ so I had to either move my king or take with the queen

@Tokyoisawesome99 It would still be a trade, nothing good, nothing bad. It would actually help the opponent.

Sorry for a late comment but on move 17 if he took the pawn then ou can do Nc7 which you gain you a bishop

That's what I mean. You went backwards instead ... ._.

Hiro look at move 46. I should have moved Kg4 instead of Kg5 and I would have taken down the pawn. I think it was a close game until the end when we both made mistakes.

Close? Your backward King just cost you the game and *possible* FIRST PLACE!

@dritter1 thanks but it was a great game. I'm looking forward to when we can analyze the game and hopefully play one. Nice match though overall-it was close!

Hey, I'm Dan Ritter, the guy you played.  Yeah you should have won this game once I dropped my rook.  Here is a little analysis from my point of view.

On move 8 maybe you should have done c5 and then some point later b4.

Actually on move 13 I should have done xe4.  Because xe4 Nxe4 Nxe4 Bxe4 then I can break pin with Rc8.  The only reason that I didn't do this is because I didn't want to isolate c pawn but looking back that is what I should have done.

On move 15 you could have won pawn without breaking your king's defense.  xd5 would have forced my bishop to move (trading would end up worse for me) and your king's defense would have been better, which ended up hurting you later in the game.

On move 17 you are right I should have done Qxb2, I just missed it.  But opening your king's defense was also helpful for me.

On move 25 I totally blundered.  I entirely overlooked the knight attacking the rook.  I probably should have done Ra2.  If you traded then I could take a pawn and probably promote my a pawn later.  If Ra2 Rxa2 Rxa2 Rc3 to protect pawn then Ra1 Rd3 Bg4 and I win knight.  If you didnt trade I would advance my f g and h pawns and king and I think you would eventually be caught in zugzwang.

    On move 31 I was hoping you would do Rxa4 then I could do Rg6+ Kh1 Bg2+ Kg1 Bxe4+ Kf1 Bd3+ Ke1 Rg1+ Kd2 Rxa1.  Good job seeing that.

On move 37 I simply dropped my bishop.  I should have gone Bc6.

On move 44 Rxg7+ was actually a good move.  After Rxg7 Rxg7+ Kxg7 all you had to do was Kg4 and easy win for you.  Kg5 blew the game for you.

Anyway good game, I think BG might be coming to palatine thurs to practice for state so if you want we can analyze more.  If not good luck at state.

    17. Qxf3 -- to mess up your pawn structure, possibly.

Goddammit Zane!!!! A chance to be undefeated, SCREWED UP!!! Oh well, I can't talk lol:D

    Close game though!
