I've been learning about and getting into wargames over the last couple weeks. Games like 'The operational art of war III", "war in the pacific", "war in the east" etc. are all either on my purchasing radar or I've been playing.
I also bought "Field of Glory" a miniatures wargame converted to pc. It's pretty fun although I do not understand which units and experience levels beat other units yet.
These games are like chess, but with fog of war sometimes, and random elements. Still, maneuvering of 'pieces' (troops, planes, ships) into the right positions at the right times is all important.
