نه از پیمانه  می  خوردن

Nor drinking from the cup of wine

خدا را می شناسم از شما بهتر

I know god better than you do

شما را از خدا بهتر

I know you better than god

خدا از هر چه پنداری جدا باشد

God is different from what you think

خدا هرگز نمی خواهد خدا باشد

God never wants to be god

نمی خواهد خدا بازیچه دست شما باشد

God does not want to be a play thing in your hands

که او هرگز نمی خواهد چنین آینه ای وحشت نما باشد

He never wants to inspire fear

هراسی از وی ندارم من

Fear of him I do not have

هراسی را از این اندیشه ها در پی ندارم من

Fear from such thoughts I do not have

خدایا بیم از آن دارم

Oh god I fear only

مبادا رهگذاری را بیازارم

To harm onthor

نه جنگی با کسی دارم

I don't have quarrels with anyone

نه کس با ما

Nor does anyone have with me

بگو موسی بگو موسی، پریشان تر تویی یا ما؟

Tell me then Moses who is more bewildered you or i?
