World Number Three

Here is a brilliant miniature played that was won by GM John Nunn. He goes on the offensive right away in the opening and is able to blow his opponent's position apart with some well-timed sacrifices. Eventually, GM Andrei Sokolov (who was the #3 player in the world at the time!) is forced to surrender.

Dr. Nunn, a theoritician and tactical player. Too bad he did not stay active long enough to see more of his brilliance.

    The amazing Dr John Nunn.

His brilliancy and his chess career are fenomenal...also, his contribution to theory (openings and endings mainly),  due to his creativity, and hard work out of the board made him a player that is fun to study (his games).

Just have a look at his hair style in 1980-81 lol

john nunn was top 10 too, right?
