5th M-tel Masters Sofia, Category: XXI with all games

Alexei Shirov won M-Tel Masters 2009

(Sofia, 23 May, 2009)  In the last, tenth round of the super chess tournament in Sofia he won against Magnus Carlsen from Norway and became sole leader in the final standings with 6,5 points. The tournament was officially closed by the CEO of M-Tel Josef Vinatzer. For the most attractive game in the tournament was chosen the clash between Topalov and Wang in the fourth round. The award was handed by the chair of the supervisory board of Bulstrad Life Vienna Insurance Group - Rumen Yanchev.
