Openings- Part 1

Are openings the most important part of chess games?  That is a question for the ages.  There are a variety of answers.  Some say the middle game, others say the end game, others say yes, openings are most important.  However, no matter what your answer to the question may be, I find that most people spend more time working on opening preparation when both preparing for tournaments and just practicing.  Why is that?

I personally only know one person who does not spend much time, if any, on the opening.  He is a 1900+ rated player.

I know that different things work better for different people, and I might be speaking from an uneducated standpoint, but my point makes sense all the same.  If you know lots of people who spend little or no time on the opening, forgive me for posing this accusation.

Please let me know what you think.  I am curious to know if I am the only person who has noticed this and is trying to change my training habits.

Until next time-

Openings are great, but in my opnion it's not your game.  It is the game of a grandmaster that you are copying.  Up to a certain number of moves it's not, but, for example, I have been shown an "opening" that goes to checkmate at move 42.  That's rediculous.

I dont know can i make a comment on this subject.

any way i am sharing my views.

In my concept there is nothing in openings. it is normal process of a game. after a 7 or eight moves there only beginig the game.

so it is time waste to think of openings.

but in stance each and every moves has its own importance. and it is the peculiarity of the chess...and making the game more and more colourfull.

i specially inform my regards as member of team India

    namaste.
