My Memorable Games #6, 1991 National HS Championships, Part 1

My first and only national Scholastic came in my senior year.  My dad was nice enough to set up the trip and go wiht me for the weekend.  That year's national HS took place in Atlanta, GA, about an 8-10 hour drive for us.  It was a very educational tournament for me and I will be showcasing 3 games.  All of them demonstrating lessons that beginners can, and should learn if they go over their games.

The first of these was an easy win, but there was a bombshell tactical shot on move 13 that, you wouldn't expect a 1200 player to find and wasn't revealed to me until 7-8 years later when I got my first desktop PC, Fritz 5/ChessBase and had started transfering my USCF games from paper records to disk...

I wonder, at times, how much faster I would have improved if I'd had access to the strong machines I refference today, LOL!
