My USCF games, at this point, definitely began to get more competitive.  I had begun to notice that, with many of my opponents in the lower section, there was a definite tendency to 'fall off' in the late middle game/endgame.  I didn't really study that much, but what little study I did started to focus on endgame.  In the previous tournament, I had battled to a draw despite being down an exchange.  Here, I would face 3 endgames with mixed results.

Game #16, Round 1:

My 2nd rated game against Brian.  This ended up being a very well played game from both sides.

Game #17, Round 2:

Also my 2nd game against Sanji.  Another close one, but this time, I would actually misplay the endgame and allow him to gain opposition.
