I'm skipping this week to concentrate on at least understanding opening theory a little more. I'm going to read Capablanca's thoughts as well as Nimzovitch's thoughts. I'm going to develop a bit of a repitoire before trying my hand at it again.
Last time I encountered the Ruy Lopez, I played the Italian, I played the slav against 1 d4 and I found an interesting opposition to the 150 attack.
I have my work cut out for me. I'm not even sure how to study openings besides just setting up the board, using game explorer and keeping detailed notes as to what my ideas are.
