Labor Day Weekend, 2012 I played in a weekend swiss in suburban Minneapolis.  I was white in the last round, and winning meant first place, and losing, as is common in the last round, meant no money at all.

I was white against 2350 rated Kevin Wasiluk.  Kevin had won clear first in the U2300 earlier in the year at the Chicago Open, and is a feared opponent.  However, I was confident before the game, since I have a lot of experience in the last round playing for first, and I was white!
