An Analysis of Music

This will be one of the very few times that I will use a blogpost to alert people of something besides chess. If you have no interest in what I am posting here, that is perfectly fine, please disregard it.

Hello Readers!

I have started myself a project that I am calling "An Analysis of Music". I have created a page on Facebook that I would appreciate if you could check it out. What the page is mainly about is this:

"Hello, my name is Alex, and I created this group to analyze music. Music is playing an increasing role in my life, as I am currently a high school student. I am one of those people who studies at least six hours a day, and I rarely watch movies or TV as I simply do not have the time or want to with my schedule. I have noticed that I have been listening to music more lately in the past year. As each song is usually about 4 minutes long, it does not take a long time to listen to a few songs everyday.

In the past year, I have searched to find the best music to listen to, and I have listened to music from many genres, and I have found what I have considered as good music.

The purpose of this group is to inform people of new music, analyze music throughout the decades, and to give music an overall comprehensive exploration through using multiple methods. This group mainly serves as my way to discuss music with people and to give myself a better sense of music throughout the years.

Items discussed will be more along the lines of Smashing Pumpkins re-releases, Pink Floyd re-releases, Nirvana 20th Anniversary editions, etc... and only selective newer bands such as Coldplay, or Paramore as I believe that only a very limited amount of modern music is worth listening to.

Music discussed will range from alternative rock to heavy metal, from Coldplay to Oceano. I hope that this page will inform people of new musical groups, and will give viewers a chance to discuss music with people that share the same interests. Thanks!"

If you are interested, please check the page out, and give me any feedback that you may wish to give!

Thanks!

__Alex

Thanks for checking it out! Some people don't use Facebook, but with facebook, its more specified for whatever you want it to be. Since this is 'chess.com,' I'm less inclined to post anything not related to chess.

Very interesting Alex. I am tone deaf myself, so I appreciate music at my level. I am a big believer in sports and all types of art as   medium for growth, learning, inspiration, sharing etc.

I just looked at your FB too - great link - will research at leisure and post out to a few friends - if you don't mind.
