One of my games

You may have seen this game before, I posted it on the site about 3 months ago. For those who have seen it, please supply me with a comment on the game. Also, this blog will soon be turned into a King's Gambit blog, so if you want to learn an opening, here is the best place to begin! Again, Thanks for reading!

Hello everyone! I think I am recovering from a losing streak, I had started about a month before. Hope you all enjoy this game. In my blog I will now be posting weekly post every Saturday. Hope you enjoy my game! Thanks for reading! Also, if you could post a comment that would also be helpful.

Can you point out the mistakes by both sides for a person who is new to chess. I want to learn and to see if I pickup on them so I do not make the same.

um i think after 5.Nxe5 the line is 5...Qe7 and  then you gain back the pawn and this game was so full of holes it was almost painful

It's good you're learning to start a blog and bold of you to put up one of your games for criticism. Perhaps you could choose a game by one of the masters of the past that can be used to illustrate a certain opening. Nothing too complicated, something you could research from a book and then comment on when it was developed, by whom(if possible), the main lines & variations, its weaknesses & strongpoints and what you think of it having tried it out. Perhaps the Philidor Defence, or Petroff Defence or maybe have a look at the Evans Gambit, Benko Gambit or Danish Gambit and subject them to a little scrutiny.

The main problem with this blog is that the game is riddled with so many mistakes, that, even though we learn by our mistakes, in this case there are just too many and it will not help anybody to observe bad tecnique. Whereas,if you take a game from a Tournament or National to illustrate a certain opening, or even just a good combination in the game you will learn something beneficial and can pass that on to your readers.

Sorry if this is long-winded. It is merely a suggestion of a direction to take. Best of luck, Greg.Smile

I think that a3 was not a good move from the start. Developing the white square bishop and threatening the knight would be better at least. Develop pieces then attack. Castle early.

I think that White's chances are better after

    48. Qxe7+    Qxe7

    49. Rxe7+    Kxe7

    50.  Re2       d4

    51.  Rxe4+    dxe4

    52.  Kf2
