    Some advice on using this move it do it when your in a bad sitaution and you haven't touched your king side rook and need to get your king some protection from different and you still haven't touched your pawns at f3,g3,and h3. This allows the pawns to form a semi wall infront of the king to where you have your rook to protect it on the left hand side.

    You also need not to have moved your king or the rook you're using. Also, the king can't be in check, nor can the square he moves through or the one he moves into be attacked. For example, White can only castle kingside if e1, f1, and g1 aren't attacked.
