I thought that the Mayans got tired of carving any more calendars and decided that they would make December 21, 2012 the end of the world.

They didn't have computer, maybe.

But as for me, on December 21, I will be starting my Christmas shopping. If the world ends I won't have to pay for anything.

Couldn't imagine worrying about the end of the world.  That said it's nice to have a few acres and the right tools to garden and can my own veggies.  Of course if it's nuclear k-town is right down the road from oak ridge so it will most likely be quick and painless.

Just ignore it then and it will all go away.  Yeah right.

The Mark of the Beast will be an embedded chip (probably located in the palm of your hand) that will hold all your financial and medical records.  This will be phased in and rationalized with "It will make us safer".  Have you heard that line before???!

Cash is being phased out.  Even today, most transactions in the world do NOT involve cash.  Without the Mark/chip, you will not be able to buy or sell.
