Play the Game...

Yes...we all play the game I'm talkin' about.  That's the Game of Life!

Ever wonder what your current score or "rating" is in that Game?  Are you winning, losing, drawing (or even stalemating!) your way through the pages of your life?

A 100 point increase to my chess rating would be nice. But 100 point increase to my "life rating"...now THAT would be AWESOME!

We are all so different and come from so many different backgrounds and cultures, yet we all share a very common bond...we're all alive at this moment.

It could perhaps even be argued that all of our futures are inextricably tied together...especially in today's world.

On so many levels, we are all the same, aren't we?

Then Why oh Why can't we ALL just live in peace and be free???

//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

BUT WHY DOESN'T THAT EVER HAPPEN???

I guess that's just part of The Game

    Well said, batgirl.

    In listening to the song, however, the answer is

    ...if you know the rules it's soooo easy.

    Can somebody please provide me with the rulebook!!! Kiss

    Is happiness in itself even a high point getter? Or is it maybe the individual things that people usually think of as comprising happiness. For instance, in chess one mght think that winning will make you happy.  But I find more joy in the struggle, the process of playing, regardless of the result.  So, I think the high points, and overall hapiness, will come from living honorably with healthy doses of love and charity.

    maybe someday??

    That's a hard question.  Can we live in peace and be free if we are not happy ourselves?  If you are not happy, do you look at others who you think are happy and say, 'If I only had what they have, I could be happy!'  But jealousy and envy only lead to more unhappiness.  Things that make other people happy do not necessarily make you happy, too.  Each person must look within themselves and find what truly would make them happy and strive for it.  Until then, living in peace will not happen.

    (Sorry for rambling so much. As you can tell, I do not understand this world that well, but I would like to raise my rating, too.)
