white's move 40.Qe3
37. Nf1?? Blocks black queen! Leave it there and instead Qe2?
35. Qxe3 Qc6 threatens mate on g2 and Qxa4 taking a rook.
y not 35. Qxe3, taking out the knight earlier ??
well i did watch Lilov's video a year ago, so i guess i should recognize it!
I'm practising the Grunfeld. I was watching FM Lilov's Instructional video yesterday while practising the moves at the same time using the analysis board in live chess.
The board above are the moves made in Lilov's Grunfeld introduction.
IM Pruess is correct, the game is infact Smyslov
White could have saved his game."Avarice begets sin and sin begets death"-That's why I must say ,"CHESS IS AS MUCH A MYSTERY AS OUR MIND".Its white's greed causes his death( taking Knight).
Thanks Kohai, waiting for your another fantastic blog.
yeah, i believe it's one of Smyslov's great achievements! but i could be wrong? second guess: Petrosian, third guess: Fischer.
Pretty darn good Grunfeld by black!!!
wolfleader- because Qh1+ going for mate wins immediately.
y didnt queen take rook at 38.
