I've been trying to raise my blitz to for the last ..two days. No avail. It's dropping.
My goal is 2000. But is it unrealistic? Do you have to be a master to reach that kind of reading?
What would be the best kind of training program to get there? Playing against lower rated opponents surely isn't best, because then you start to play worse. Playing a lot of games makes you tired, and you start to drop your queen etc. Plying too little doesn't give you enough routine. Is it possible to play too much? Or does it all just give you "experience points" that add up to your real rating eventually?
See, I would need a chess coach, but can't afford one I think. I would be willing to coach some lower rated opponent for free.
Training alone is difficult, but that's what playing chess online is really about. It's lonely. Everyone you meet, is your enemy. That's why I prefer otb chess. Cause there you can actually shake hands, and you don't necessarily have to take it personally if you lose. And tournaments are social events. However, it's not always possible to have access to a chess club.
So, does anyone have any tips on how to reach 2000 in blitz? And has anyone innovatively solved this problem of not having a coach? I hear some people founded this pool where players assess each others game.
