DUNBAR CHESS CLUB - The new chess season is starting!

Our first club night of the new season is this coming Wednesday (27th August). Same time, same place - 7:15pm, Royal MacKintosh Hotel. There is plenty happening this season, whatever suits you - be it a little bit of casual chess, help with improving your game, organised presentation nights, league matches or competitive chess. We will be there every Wednesday night for the rest of the year until Christmas.

Our membership fees have remained at £10 for another year which is good value for money, with more available at club than ever before. We also have free membership for juniors (u18) and unemployed members A few of us are really looking forward to our new Club Championship which will be a graded event, and The East Lothian Cup with Musselburgh (TBC soon). If you know of anyone interested in chess or getting into chess then please do encourage them to come along. I will put our new club poster on the website next week, should anyone wish to print it off and place it anywhere.

For any prospective new members, we are a friendly mix of characters of all ages and backgrounds. Please do feel welcome to visit the club at anytime, and you can try the club out for a few weeks for free. Pop along to see us at anytime.
