Do all the programs need windows rar to use them?

I went to both of those files and they are Zip files and you must have and use Windows rar to open them.

Chessmaster 4000, includes 5000 and 6000.

They will not run unless you open and install them. So find them where ever you placed them in you computer.

I have all my downloads go to a file called "downloads" and I have it on my desktop and i just click on the icon and "bingo" all the downloads are shown. Then select the download and you have to open it with the "rar" file and un zip it.

I am talking about a PC not a Mac.

I would like the Chessmaster 4000 Personality and Stock fish 2.2.1 as a start then if i figure that out I can download some more maybe.

Why don't you give us the name of the program that you downloaded.

We can try it and let you know how.

Some are in Zip files and have to be opened up. It also depends where you placed the download file in your computer.
