Just a quick review of last year and look forward to the next.

This year has been great for chess, I had stopped playing for quite a while, but a few months ago downloaded an android app, and found my enthusiasm again.  I am having real fun.......even though I've taken a few poundings. (Ok more than a few poundings)

I've started playing some tournaments, and even got through to the second round in a few of them, although I crash and burn fairly quickly at that point.

I've learned about Chess 960, something I had never even heard of before, and have had some great and interesting games.

I've been enjoying the Chess Tactics program, my main reason for buying a subscription.  It's changed the way that I look at the chess board.

So moving forward........

More Chess, definately more Chess 960 and more tactics.

I want to have a look at openings, something I have never done before.  I can see that there are some "opening" options in the learning section, but I really have no idea how or where to start. (Advice gratefully received).

Most of my friends are on Facebook but not on Chess.com.  So I might have a look at playing chess on facebook as well.
