Wendy Dio announced today that Ronnie James Dio legendary singer with Elf, Rainbow, Black Sabbath and his own band Dio passed away at 7:45 a.m. this morning Sunday 16th May. RIP Ronnie you were a legend and your music will live on forever. I hope god has either a good taste in rock or some sturdy ear plugs!
So good for so such a long time. Rest in peace, Ronnie.
He had songs of wildebeests and angels. He has soared on the wings of a demon.
rip dio, hope you met Alekhine or Capa and started learn chess (or metallizing them)
FUUUUUUUUUUCK!!!! im about to cry, it wasnt a metal band at all, but they where awsome!!! god! rest in peace dio and music speak for you!
Today, my heart is saddened as I hear of this terrible loss. Dio will live forever in the hearts of his fans and in the music and lyrics he once sang, we will miss you, Dio, keep it heavy in Heaven.
the world is full of kings and queens, who blind your eyes and steal your dreams
The stuff he did with Rainbow was amazing, Stargazer stands out especially for me as not just a great song but one where his chops were so on display. Also, Last in Line from his solo/band Dio was a great display of his voice. I shouldn't overlook his ballads either, like Temple of the King.
The one lyric he sang that screams out like a bucket of truth is "the world is full of kings and queens, they'll blind your eyes and steal your dreams".
Man the guy could sing.
He will never die!! A great singer like him gave us lots of good music forever!!!!!
Who was this chap. I never heard of him
Oh they say that's overAnd it just had to beOh that say, that's o-o-overFor lost children of the sea
Look out! The sky is falling downLook out! The world is spinning round and round and roundLook out! The sun is going black, blackLook out! It's never never never coming back
R.I.P Ronny James Dio..
Very sad loss.
"Horns up"...he'll always be remebered as long as heavy metal and his symbol exists. R.I.P. Dio, keep the good music in Heaven...
There's no sign of the morning comingThere's no sight of the dayYou've been left on your ownLike a Rainbow in the Dark
R.I.P Ronnie. A lot of legends are passing away this year, not only in the chess world...
I hope Ronny Dio will have a taste for the angelic chorus and that his hard rock sound can blend.
