The point of this post is to help the reader be more tactically aware. After reading this post, if you follow my advice, you will soon see a dramatic improvement in your tactical play. Alright, there are more than one ways to improve at tactics, but I will show you how to improve your results quickly and efficiently.
If you are a Premium member here on Chess.com you should do 10-15 tactics trainer problems/day. After doing this for about a week, you will probably start to see some improvements in you tactical skills.
If you arn't a premium member here, you can buy any chess tactics book (they are very cheap, starting at $1.50) and do the same as above. The reason these things will help you is because after a while, you will begin to recognize these same tactical motifs in your own games, allowing you to see tactics more easily and quickly.
Do the above regardless, but if recognizing themes isn't your problem, I would instead practice by taking any position at random, and calculating a logical sequence of moves for as long as you can while still clearly "seeing" the position. If you do both of these things every day, your tactics will definitely improve quickly, and without much effort.
