Mott Hall Chess in Harlem

Here's a well-made and quite lyrical mini-documentary on the scholastic chess program at Harlem's Mott Hall school.  These kids have a nice collection of Chronos "Touch" clocks !

    Mott Hall is a school for gifted kids...no way I was that smart in 6th grade.

    I think Matthew, in particular, has a great way of expressing himself.  I love this quote of his:

    "Chess was just like something to throw away in my mind.  Like you play, you're done, you're over with.  That's it."

    What a clever, rhythmic expression.
